Home Automate was founded by Mark McLaurin who has over 30 years of IT experience and has been Director of IT for two large law firms which included designing complex IT systems.  Mark became interested in home control systems several years ago and fully automated his own home before most even knew the technology existed.  Through trial and error Mark determined the most stable and easy to operate systems and incorporated them into a business model for homes and vacation homes.  Mark and his wife Teresa also have a vacation home with the same technology discussed in this site.  What started as a "fun project" has now become an entire system of ways to control and automate your home.
